Contracts

As a dean and director, one of my roles was to furnish adjunct faculty contracts. The contract opened the door for employment, and I, in turn, looked forward to faculty opening the doors for students' learning. I couldn't wait to see the "light bulb effect" take place in my class observations. At the height of enrollment, there were over 110 faculty members under my supervision. Each quarter, a new contract would be offered for the classes to be taught that quarter. I worked as a liaison between the faculty and the HR department. Looking back. I am glad that the contracts were non-negotiable. It made the process quick and simple.
