About Me...

THE TEACHER

Before entering education, I was an administrative assistant for a mortgage corporation and spent my college years as a waitress and a an early childhood daycare assistant.

​

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Education degree from Marygrove College.  

​

I currently work as an online ESL instructor and as an online tutor.  I teach Chinese children how to speak English, and I tutor elementary through college level students from Canada and the United States.

Background

I have held a variety of roles within the educational field, including curriculum development and design, research, and now teaching English as a second language. I am currently a teacher for VIPKID, which uses an online platform for teaching.  I teach lessons to children ages 5 - 12, and I leave detailed feedback for the children's parents. 

 

In my 12 years working in education, I have developed expertise in working in  academic and student affairs at the higher education level. I hold an M.Ed. with a concentration in administrative leadership, and I have a strong interest in collaboration technologies and personal and business productivity tools.
