Microsoft Office

My first experiences with Microsoft Office was, of course, using Word. I took classes in Word and Excel. The things I learned in the Word class were interesting, but not things I would use on an everyday basis, so, yeah, I forgot a lot of it but still consider myself well-versed in Word. When I was an administrative assistant, they wanted me to conuct a mail merge, so I picked up a book and learned how to do a mail merge through Access. The Excel class, well, it was like taking an algebra class. I can pick up the concepts and do the math, but if I'm not using it, I forget it. Like Spanish. I took Spanish throughout high school (plus some French, too) and completed Spanish IV. I felt like I had forgotten most of it. Lucky me, my kids are both taking Spanish, so I am practicing it much more. I was surprised about how much I did remember, and how it came back to me like riding a bike. Don't get me wrong - I am not fluent, but I could muddle my way through a conversation if needed.
